The Sustainable Investment Forum aims at gathering finance professionals, policy-makers and the private sector to encourage new partnerships and find new solutions to scale up sustainable investment. A growing number of investors are looking for sustainable investment opportunities for their portfolios. The Forum’s new “Innovative Climate Finance Tool Competition” will allow financial services professionals to showcase their innovative ideas to help facilitate sustainable investment, as well as assisting institutional investors, asset owners and managers to discover new solutions enabling low-carbon investment.
How does it work?
The competition is open to all financial service providers, large or small, that have developed an innovative sustainable investment solution or instrument, and wish to showcase this to a wider audience.
Participants will present a viable financial tool that facilitates investment in sustainable solutions and innovations. The competition will have two stages. Participants will enter the competition by submitting their initial idea (from 2nd June 2017). The 5 finalists will be announced on 14th July. These 5 finalists will submit a full presentation of their instrument for final selection by the Judging Committee. The winner, selected by our Judges and announced on 14th August, will have the opportunity to present their solution at the Sustainable Investment Forum on 19th September in New York, in front of 400 finance professionals, policy-makers, experts and business executives.
